Cardinale Moving & Storage, Inc., of Castroville, California was recognized as The Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce 2011 Business of the Year at the Chamber’s annual awards banquet dinner on Saturday, March 24th. The 40 year old company earned this coveted award for their excellence in business and outstanding commitment to the community at large. Cardinale knew that they were a finalist, but the winner was not announced until the very end of the dinner which was a wonderful surprise and professional highlight for all the members of the Cardinale family who were in attendance for the banquet.
Cardinale Moving has earned numerous awards over the past few years. In 2008 they were named Large Business of the Year by The North Monterey County Chamber of Commerce. In 2009 they were the winner of the California Moving & Storage Association (CMSA) Pinnacle Award, which is designed to honor an outstanding company whose commitment to ethical business practices help to portray the Moving and Storage Industry in a positive light within the community. In 2010, they received the United-Mayflower Container Dealer of the Year Award for their do-it-yourself portable storage division and in 2011 they received the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce’s Business Excellence Award in the Services to Residents category as well as The KSBW-Union Bank Salute to Small Business Award in the Best Business Professional category.
The award-winning company was founded by Sal and Angie Cardinale in 1972 and continues to be a family-owned and operated business to this day. Three out of the couple’s four children (Vince Cardinale, Roseann Orlebeck and Sally Cardinale) and one grandson (Adam Orlebeck) are now handling the day-to-day operations from their facility in Castroville along with an excellent staff that includes many employees who have worked for the company for 20 years or longer!
The Cardinale family enjoys giving back to the community in which they live and are proud to provide moving or storage services at no cost for many non-profit organizations on the peninsula as well as sponsoring countless local fundraising events and youth sport teams.
Cardinale Moving & Storage strives to develop and maintain permanent relationships with its customers by providing outstanding service – move after move, with no exceptions – something the employees refer to as “Cardinale Pride.” Whether someone is moving across town, across country or around the world, Cardinale Moving & Storage can assist with their relocation. The company is proud to be the only mover on the Monterey Peninsula representing United Van Lines.
